A long day today, relatively flat with only one short but steep hill to get over. It rained a bit overnight and again in the morning, which we noticed when we came to cross Faraway Creek. The water was fast flowing and waist deep on the adults. There is a photo taken the day before where it was only ankle deep, and the signs warned not to cross if it was above knee depth :) You can see how deep it was. Notice the change in depth between the first and last photos.
As we approached Louisa River we could see the Ironbound Range looking ominous in front of us and our route tomorrow straight up the ridge.
