Activities from 2010

At Brookvale Curl Curl pack we do so many good activities that we can't fit them all in one menu :) So here are some of the things we did last year.

Cuboree Shakedown Camp

We went to Ingleside Scout Camp for our Cuboree skakedown Camp. Our Cuboree pack consists of Ryde and Brookvale Curl Curl. This is what our Cuboree campsite will look like. More photos on the Shakedown Camp page.

Ingleside Leadership Camp

A camp for Sixers and Seconds to learn about their role within the Cub Scout pack as leaders and role models. The key concept was teamwork, with many exercises to show how a team can work much more effectively than a group of individuals.. More photos and details on the Leadership Camp page.

Ingleside Conservation Camp

A special camp run by the District Team (thanks!) which covered the new World Environment Badge requirements, plus the Level 2 Animals and Birds badge. A full programme of activities kept everyone busy for the weekend. More photos and words on the Conservation Camp page.

Cubs blitz the 60th Sirius Cup Regatta

Amidst the chaos that is Cub day at the Sirius Cup Regatta, Brookvale Curl Curl cubs came from nowhere to gain places in many of the heats. They then topped it off with Zane and Jonah finishing second in the C2 under 10, and Sebastian, Aaron, Aurelie and Oscar coming third in the C4 under 11 races. Belinda, our only Scout present, chipped in with entries in the C2 Scout and Cub, and C4 2 Scouts and 2 Cubs events.
