All the cubs brought along their Dad or a nominated stand-in (grandpa, uncle, big brother, etc) for some games and dinner. There were a few reluctant Dads, but we got them to join the six with their cub for the evening.
First up two sixes prepared their dinner, skewers with beef, tomato, capsicum, onion and pineapple, while the other sixes played two games outside. The first game was Iron Lung, second was passing a hoop round the circle while holding hands. Both these games were easy for Cubs, but a bit more challenging for the Dads. After the games the sixes swapped places.
While the meal was cooked on the BBQ there was a playoff of Crab Soccer, with a few of the Dads starting to fade by now. Red six won the playoff.
Then each six retired to their corner to demolish the meal, seems everyone had worked up a bit of an appetite!
A big 1-2-3-wolf for all the Dads who were good sports and joined in the games enthusiastically. I like to think they had a bit of fun too.
