NSW Centenary of Cubs Party, Sydney - 31 July 2016
We started the day by meeting at Manly Wharf to catch the ferry to the city. Once there we picked up our badges and headed off on an interesting Wide Game around the city. This took us along tiny back lanes and even down to the Tank Stream looking for clues and answering questions!
We met up with nearly 2000 cubs from across NSW at Government House where we met the Chief Scout of NSW, His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret'd). We had a look through some of the rooms and gardens around Government House. Had a picnic lunch in the gardens. Then the Governor cut the Cub's birthday cake with a big sword and met the cubs, chatting and being in photos with them.
After the ceremony we moved off and continued our wide game, this time going across to The Rocks area, before heading home on the ferry.
