12 cubs and 2 leaders had a very pleasant day learning to canoe on Narrabeen Lagoon. Compared to last year when there was a big thunder storm in the afternoon, the weather was warm and sunny for the whole day. After learning the basics of paddling, capsizing, emptying the water, drinking lots, and a swimming test we had morning tea then paddled off to have lunch near the caravan park. All the cubs loved going under the road bridge. After lunch we paddled back to the start point, arriving about 3pm. The cubs found that if they worked together about 6 or 8 cubs could carry a canoe all the way to the trailer.
