Brookvale Curl Curl Scout Group has been active within the community since 1947 when 1st Brookvale Scout Group was formed. 1st North Curl Curl was formed in 1964. The two merged to form the Group we are today in the mid nineties. We currently have strong numbers in all sections (Joeys, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers), and adult leaders that bring a mix of youth, experience and above all enthusiasm to the role. All sections have a healthy balance of male and female youth members and are led by male and female leaders.
The Parent Support Group page provides more information on the management of the group and the expectations and responsibilities for Parents and Carers.
Fees / Costs
Just like any organisation, there are membership fees. We feel that these fees are quite modest compared to other organisations and activities. Please see the Fees page for details.
The aim of your obligation free period is to make sure Scouts is something you and your child want to become part of and that our Group is the one for you. We hope that you give us every opportunity to show you how great our Group is and encourage you to ask as many questions as you can to make sure.
Once your child decides to join our Group, and have demonstrated an understanding of the Scout Promise and Law, the next step is getting invested. This is a ceremony where they become a part of the Scouting movement and formally become a member of our Group, receiving your badges and scarf.
To become invested you will need to get a uniform, complete some membership forms and pay the required joining and membership fees. Once you are ready click I want to join below:
