A long day today, 18km, relatively flat with only one short but steep hill to get over. It rained a bit overnight and again in the morning, the cloudy skies make for some dramatic photos.
When we arrive at Faraway Creek the water is fast flowing and waist deep. There is a photo from the day before where it was only ankle deep, and the signs warned not to cross if it was above knee depth :) You can see how deep it was. The difference in water depth is noticeable between the first and last photos - in the space of 45 minutes the water dropped about 30cm.
We continue on and later in the afternoon as we approach Louisa River we can see the Ironbound Range looking ominous in front of us. Our route tomorrow will take us straight up the ridge to an elevation of 920 metres.
