Coxs River & fishing Hike / 8-9 Sept 2018 Stuart Butler, Neville Kew, Aaron Kew, Benny Martin, Aiden Brisebois, Jamie Swane, David Mirabito, James Brisebois.
A pleasant and easy hike down Carlon Creek & then Breakfast Creek from Carlons Farm at the southern end of the Megalong Valley. Camp was made on the shores of the coxes river in a lovely shaded setting. The team soon had their fishing gear out and were hoping to score some lovely trout for our dinner. Unfortunately the fish remained elusive and safe from our bellies (just as well we prepared with back up meals just on case).
Stuart joined us a couple of hours later having taken a different route into camp (from Carlon Creek he headed up Black Horse Ridge & then out along Blue Dog Ridge before descending back to the Coxs River).
By Saturday night the clouds had departed and Sunday downed nice and sunny. The morning was spent again trying to catch the elusive trout to no avail, and a pleasant albeit slightly harder hike back to the cars.
