All meetings are full uniform at Brookvale Hall unless otherwise noted.

7 February          First meeting for 2011. Talk about what we all did in the holidays and the first week back at school. Evacuation drill.
14 February        Curl Curl Netball Courts - Bikes and Scooters. We got washed out last year so we're trying again. Don't forget your helmet. Meet on the concrete netball court closest to Curl Curl Hall. If raining meet at Curl Curl Hall.
21 February        Warriewood Wetlands Walk to the Waterfall. Meet at the corner of Garden St and Irrawong Rd. Bring a  drink, hat, raincoat and insect repellent. Parents and siblings welcome. Collect small sticks, seed pods and leaves for next week.... Download Activity Form above and bring it on the night.
28 February         Dreamtime Tales. Create insects from the leaves, sticks and seeds collected last week.
6 March                Sunday - Clean Up Australia Day. Meet at Brookvale Hall 10am. Walk to Curl Curl to help clean up the park. Bring hat, gloves, drink and sunscreen.
7 March                No meeting as we will be too tired after cleaning up.
14 March              No meeting, swimming is tomorrow night!
15 March             Tuesday -  Swimming Night. Cost $5. The location is the Collaroy Plateau Swim School, at the War Vets pool. Entrance C, War Veterans Home, Lantana Avenue, Collaroy Plateau. Download the permission form and bring it on the night.
21 March             Rubbish Night. Games and craft based on recycling and looking after the environment.
28 March             Cooking Night. Last year we did chocolate crackles and pikelets. What yummy treats can we create this time? Parent helpers required in the kitchen to cook and wash up please.
4 April                  Practise marching for Anzac Day. End of term party, Easter Egg hunt.

25 April                Easter Monday. March from Brookvale School to the Bus Depot. Meet at 6.25am, wear full uniform, polished school shoes. Breakfast provided afterward at the Bus Depot.

2 May                    First meeting for Term 2.

09/11/09  Stony Range Bush Walk  Uniform  Meet at the front gates at 6.30pm, bring a drink and hat.

16/11/09  Hall  Uniform, Kookaburra games, Jungle Book movie

23/11/09  North Curl Curl beach, life in the rock pools, Beach Clothes, non slip shoes, meet North Curl Curl beach car park, bring a small bucket, and a net , if you have one. Tide will be going out, should be able to walk along the beach to the rocks and the rock pool. Find sea snails and starfish, watch out for octopus!!

11&12/12/09 Friday night and Saturday - Group Christmas Tree sale at the hall: a chance to fundraise for the group

13/12/09 Sunday - Group Christmas Party, picnic and canoeing at Jamieson Park on Narrabeen Lagoon.

1 February UNIFORM Brookvale Hall. Welcome Back!! Games, craft, evacuation drill and new procedures.

8 Febuary UNIFORM Brookvale Hall. Environmental Badge awarded to all who completed Term 4 2009. Bring newspaper clipping about something in our community. Talking about our newspaper story and games.

15 February UNIFORM Brookvale Hall. Cooking party food for the Founders Day party. Chocolate Crackles. Stories and yarns by Baden-Powell (B-P).

22February UNIFORM Brookvale Hall. Founders Day party. Cubs will visit Joeys to celebrate Baden-Powell's (B-P) birthday. Bring party food to share.

1 March UNIFORM Old Curl Curl Scout Hall. Meet at hall to commence walk around adjoining ovals. See how many different community groups use the sporting fields.

7 March  (Sunday) UNIFORM Clean Up Australia Day. Let's clean up our local area - our efforts here go towards all receiving our Community Badge!! More details to come.

8 March  No meeting tonight (need a rest after all of yesterday's hard work!)

15 March UNIFORM Brookvale Hall. NSW Fire Brigade to visit us (helpers in our community)

22 March  UNIFORM Brookvale Hall. Things we remember about our community. Presentation of community badges.

29 March  UNIFORM Brookvale Hall. Meet at hall then walk to Brookvale Oval Park for games. Finish off with ice-cream for end of term celebration.

19 April First meeting for Term 2. More fun plus practice marching and carrying flag in preparation for ANZAC Day March.

25 April (Sunday) Anzac Day March. Meet Brookvale Public School 6.30am to march to the Bus Depot.

26 April No Meeting. Anzac Day holiday.

3 May Mothers Day Craft and preparation for next week

10 May Special Mother and Joey night - Mothers Day Craft and Games. All Joey Mums are invited to come along.

17 May No Meeting Tonight

20 May (Thursday) Scout Job Week - Trolley Push - meet at Woolworths Warringah Mall. More details to follow

24 May Butterfly Craft, Joey Law and Promise. Bring a friend along for the night so they can see what Joeys is like. Make a butterfly for them to take home.

31 May Sad Face / Happy Face craft and games. What things make you feel happy or sad?

7 June Curl Curl Hall. Walk around the Park. Bring a torch. Compare the difference to when we walked around in summer time.  More details to follow.

14 June No Meeting. Queens Birthday holiday weekend

21 June Findout night. Find out what's on!

28 June End of term activity - Rockhouse Brookvale - go caving (sorry no rock climbing tonight)

16 August            Around the World - New Zealand, Make your passport, plan trip on map, games and activities about New Zealand, can you do a Haka?

Term 4 2010 - Out and About

16 October          Saturday. Come with the Cubs and visit our Scouts in camp. Check out the computers, radios and make a special badge.  Click here for general JOTA information.
18 October          No meeting due to JOTA outing on Saturday
25 October          Cooking. Joeys will help mix up the ingredients for yummy pikelets and some other things.... We'll need some parent helpers in the kitchen please!
1 November         Halloween. Come in fancy dress. We'll have some spooky games and halloween party food.
8 November        Looks like wet weather again, so meet at the hall and we'll try out some new games.
15 November      Curl Curl netball courts, bring your scooters or bikes, and a helmet. Tell Skipper if you would like to borrow a bike or scooter. If raining we will meet at Curl Curl scout hall. Download permission form at top of this page.
22 November       Camp blankets. Bring along  any badges you have and a parent to help sew them on your camp blanket. See Rama about camp blankets if you don't have one.
29 November        Joeys Christmas Party. Christmas craft, games and party food.
6 December          Finally after a few changes we are going to Oceanworld Manly. Meet at Oceanworld - bring along the signed permission form. No cost for Joeys, but we must know if you're coming or not. Siblings and parents welcome too, $13.50 each.  More info at www.oceanworld.com.au Download permission form at top of this page.
10-11 December  Friday afternoon and Saturday. Bring a parent or two along to help sell fresh Christmas trees at the hall for an hour or two. Big group fundraiser.
12 December         Group Christmas party, Sunday afternoon at Jamieson Park, Narrabeen lagoon. Bring the whole family for a fun afternoon BBQ, games and canoeing with the Scouts and Cubs.
